Alexandre Mérieux was unanimously approved as chairman of the board for Mérieux NutriSciences Corporation, Chicago, IL. He will be replacing Dr. Russ Flowers, one of the founders of the company, who is retiring.

This nomination reaffirms the strategic engagement of Institut Mérieux, the majority shareholder of Mérieux NutriSciences, in food safety and nutrition.

Having served as a director on the board since 2003, Mr. Mérieux’s new role reinforces his engagement alongside Philippe Sans, president and CEO, and his executive committee, to support Mérieux NutriSciences’ significant growth.
